Servicedesk Engineer (IT)

You'll be joining an established software company that has spent more than twenty years building the systems hundreds of law firms and notary offices rely on to get through their day. As a service desk specialist you're the first person those firms reach: you answer their questions by phone and email, work out what sits behind a report, and help users get more out of the software. Questions range from a quick fix to a genuinely complex functional puzzle where the software and legal practice meet, and that combination is what gives the role its substance.

You'll work closely with the consultants and software engineers, so when you spot a recurring problem or a smart improvement, you're the one who makes sure it reaches the right desk. That makes the job more than a relay station: what you hear on the phone finds its way back into the product. The company builds, implements and supports its own software and is working on a next generation of the platform, so what you're supporting keeps moving.

You'll start with a thorough onboarding programme of internal training, shadowing consultants, and getting to know the software and the processes behind it. There are no strict targets or handling-time quotas here; the measure is whether the customer was actually helped and whether the relationship holds up over years.
