Data Lead

As a Data Lead, you take full ownership of both the data platform and the data team within a fast‑growing organization in Zwolle. You set the strategic, technical, and organizational direction. That includes making key decisions around Databricks or Snowflake, DBT, modern ETL patterns, governance, and data quality — and translating those choices into a clear roadmap the business can understand, fund, and hold you accountable to.

You lead a team of data engineers and analytics engineers, drive quality and delivery rhythm, and build a mature engineering culture: from on‑call rotations to a healthy review practice. You oversee hiring for the team and shape how the team works and grows day to day. You work closely with the business.

You collaborate with finance, operations, and commercial leadership, translate their needs into concrete data products, and safeguard the balance between value and effort. You’re also comfortable pushing back when a request belongs in a dashboard rather than a six‑month project.
